How CarKitGuy Began

CarKitGuy began with a simple goal: upgrading an older car with modern technology to make it safer and more enjoyable to drive.

It started with a well-maintained car that ran great but lacked modern features. One of the first improvements was upgrading the interior lighting throughout the cabin, doors, and trunk to bright white LEDs, making it easier to see inside the vehicle at night and improving overall usability.

Next came a backup camera and brighter reverse lights, making parking and backing up easier and safer at any time of day by clearly showing what’s behind the vehicle on a display.

That experience showed us that older cars don’t need to be replaced to feel modern. With the right upgrades, they can be safer, smarter, and more enjoyable to drive — all at a reasonable cost. CarKitGuy was created so others can enjoy the same benefits — improved visibility, added safety, and modern convenience — without replacing a car that still has plenty of life left.
